Le Corbusier, the French/Swiss architect, photographer, painter and lots more, who was once referred to by Art Magazine as the „Leonardo of the Modern Age" is seen as the most influential architect of the Modern Age. In 1931 he designed a collection of coloured wallpapers for Basel-based wallpaper company Salubra and in this context developed the colour system „Architectural Polychromy".

LEICHT is the first and the only kitchen manufacturer to be offering Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier
for kitchen planning. With a selection of restrained and more intense, characterful colours, the company is thus extending the individual leeway in kitchen planning and in the design of a harmonious transition between kitchen and living area.

Our new, state-of-the-art assembly plant, which is due to start operations in the summer of 2020, is being built right in the middle of the industrial park Gügling.

TOTAL SUCCESS RIGHT DOWN THE LINE 

Expressive, individual kitchen concepts with a visionary character were the highlight of LEICHT's presentation at this year's LivingKitchen in Cologne, the trend show of the whole industry which got the year off to an extremely successful start for the kitchen specialist. 

With its stand, LEICHT emphasised its desire to position itself as an architectural brand with a timelessly elegant design language, to focus on the kitchen as a holistic concept and to show a wealth of possibilities in terms of interior design.

Space and transparency with plenty of private room - that is the lasting impression of the bungalow in Göfis/Vorarlberg. The house is flooded with light and the floor-to-ceiling windows open out over a vista of the meadow with an orchard and clumps of trees. The striking recess in the rear façade overlooking the garden provides plenty of space for a spacious veranda. This is protected by the roof that projects from the side.

The kitchen, which consists of two food preparation islands opposite each other, is defined on one side by an all-white wall unit, which also houses the appliances. The colour of the islands – a brilliant petrol colour – creates a delightful contrast with the warm, somewhat subdued shades of the interior. The overall symmetry conveys a feeling of peace and clarity.

The Community Clubhouse, located in a residential building in Tainan, offers its residents spacious rooms for relaxation and joint activities on three floors; spa areas are just as important as yoga rooms and a shared kitchen. Embedded in a complex ecosystem, the Clubhouse is operated energy-efficiently and is surrounded by a water landscape and lush trees.

Dark colours, exquisite woods and indirect lighting dominate the elegant interior. The kitchen is completely coordinated with the lounge and merges with it to become one, helped by the handleless fronts and the unit installed flush in a niche with an elegantly integrated workarea.

A modern country house is what the owners of this plot of land, measuring almost 1400 square metres and with a sweeping view of France‘s southern Atlantic coast, were looking for. The result - a two-storey house with staggered gables that reflects the local building style.

An ensemble of cooking run, wall units and kitchen island – a description of the kitchen that crosses over into the living area with its large dining table. A definite eye-catcher is the table top made of concrete.

The kitchen is kept very minimalist with a food preparation island opposite the wall unit with handleless, high-gloss fronts. An unobtrusive door next to the matching unit front leads into the pantry. The appearance is dominated by the dramatic contrast between white and black – the theme from the façade of the house continues skilfully on the interior.

Auf Platz 1 wählten mehr als 1.000 Küchenexperten und Architekten per Online-Voting einen Entwurf
des Küchenstudios Kitchen Works LA. Gekürt wurde der Siegerentwurf im Rahmen der großen LEICHT |
DESIGN SHOW am 27. Oktober im Headquarter des erfolgreichen Küchenherstellers in Waldstetten bei
Stuttgart (Deutschland).

Der Siegerentwurf, der in West Hollywood realisiert wurde, spielt mit dem Kontrast von offenem Wohnraum
und verstecktem Stauraum. Hauptmerkmale sind eine großzügige Kücheninsel sowie ein integriertes Raum
im Raum-Konzept, das praktische Stauraumfunktionen im Alltag bietet. Die eingesetzten LEICHT-Lösungen
aus dem grifflosen Avance-Programm verbinden durch ihre wohnlichen Elemente die offene Küche mit
dem Wohnzimmer und machen das Erdgeschoss des modernen Einfamilienhauses zu einem harmonischen Wohnraum.

The external elevation appears closed, the windows behind the wooden shutters become visible only as darkness sets in. At the back, the house opens up on two floors to the garden and the beautiful view. Inside and outside merge.

The kitchen reflects the architectural concept with its straight lines, functionality and minimalism. Handle-less tall units with integrated electrical appliances behind the glossy lacquered fronts, form a closed wall, separating kitchen from dining area. An elongated isle block with a white Corian worktop provides the central feature.

In a relatively densely built-up district of Seattle, a detached house was to be built that would offer its inhabitants the maximum possible space and freedom – in spite of its proximity to neighbouring buildings. The architects achieved just that with juxtaposed structures. Protected outside areas were created both above and below the offset levels, offering plenty of space for the family‘s leisure activities.

The kitchen as the centre of the home – that was something the whole family wanted. So there is no living space in the traditional sense in the Madrona house, simply causally positioned seating in a range of niches. The open-plan kitchen is at the top of the stairs on the first floor and opens up to the outside with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The South and West facing facades have glass windows from floor to ceiling, creating a feeling of openness and a direct connection to the wind, rain and sunshine.

Designed by the architect as a two-sided open block, positioned in the room, this kitchen is effective as a self contained architectural element, giving structure to the main living level, without restricting the view. The block is closed towards the living room area in the South so as to provide space for floor-to-ceiling cupboards and appliance housings.

The present project, with its clear and simple forms, looks for the interaction with the rural environment and the contact with the surrounding buildings. The simplicity and architectural dialogue between form and function are the theme for inside and outside.

The white high gloss acrylic surface of the kitchen fronts forms a decorative contrast to the wood of the floor and bench. White lacquered recessed handles provide a tranquil, two-dimensional effect.
