LAIKA is a product with a lacquered high-gloss finish, a metallic effect, and visible grinding structure. To create this metal-like effect, a complex lacquer system and a special painting and grinding process are required. The work is almost exclusively carried out manually. The concept of LAIKA is characterized by a traditionally handcrafted character that consciously celebrates a variance in the expression of the surface. Certain deviations in the grinding pattern are intentional, which, in conjunction with the topcoat, creates shimmering effects.

The shimmering and shadow-like metallic effect of our LAIKA colors is achieved through a 3-layer paint structure, which also involves certain manual manufacturing efforts. This process was optimized in April 2022, resulting in a more color-stable metallic appearance. The finishes can be distinguished by their color numbers.
