The best of two worlds: The symmetric asymmetry of BAHIA

Uniformity was yesterday. With our surface program BAHIA, we enable dynamic tensions in the design of kitchen fronts. Inspired by the contrasting landscape of the Brazilian state of Bahia, the new veneer front brings a lively interplay of lines into the design of your luxury kitchen with the help of a vertical grooved structure.

Uniting opposites: BAHIA creates symmetry in asymmetry.

BAHIA thrives on a unique surface with intentionally tension-filled fan effect. The veneers of the new program are attached to a black substrate. Vertical grooves are milled at irregular intervals. The vertically running cutouts reveal the black core, contrasting directly with the raised surfaces of the front.

However, asymmetry in BAHIA always defines only a single front - each element closes on both sides with defined cutouts and elevations. When arranging multiple fronts in sequence, this results in a regularity of the fan pattern, conveying optical calmness. Another recurring stylistic device is a groove precisely milled in the middle of each front, into which a handle can be inserted if desired. With this sophisticated twist, an exciting symmetry emerges in asymmetry: The BAHIA front creates a uniform and harmonious, yet equally dynamic and contrasting overall image.

Finally, the product is visually rounded off by a circumferential edge covered with the same veneer type. BAHIA also enables coordinated design of furniture, partial or complete cladding of surfaces and walls, as well as the division of spaces in interior architecture.

Naturally vibrant and atmospheric - like the land and culture of Brazil.

The namesake for the new structuring surface program and inspiration for its radiance was Bahia in Brazil: The state in the northeast of the country is characterized by a rich, diverse culture and its contrasting landscape, stretching from the tropical coast to the desert-like Sertão landscape. Bahia translates to 'bay' - a keyword that is also stylistically influential for the new surface and its appearance. In the new LEICHT program, a interplay of 'valleys' and 'mountains' is created on the veneer surface. Cutouts that expose the black core of the surface meet raised areas.

Hygge - a Scandinavian philosophy of life

In Scandinavia there is a word for happiness: "hygge". This term cannot be clearly translated. Hygge is a feeling that is lived and celebrated - a feeling of cosiness, security and warmth. One's own home is of great importance in this context.
